FAQ

What is an Arbitration Bet?

Arbitrations or Hedged Betting are terms that represent a betting strategy where placing wagers on both sides of a particular line on different sportsbooks results in guaranteed profit. When the odds of the underdog are higher than the favorite of another book you have found an arb.

Example: Book A: 135/-180 BookB: 190/-245. BookB's underdog and BookA's favorite gives us a small arbitration opportunity. 190/-180. For more in depth explanations please review our tutorial section.

How are Low Holds used?

Low Holds / NoHolds are betting opportunities similar to arbs, but do not yield profit or a small loss. They are used to churn funds between accounts for rollover of a deposit bonus or to build tier credits for loyalty incentives.

What does EV+ stand for?

EV+ means Positive Expected Value. Expected Value is a term used to refer to a bet's risk to return. If negative, the house juice is too high for the probability of the outcome for the payout. The positive expected value percentage for a bet is the percent over fair value for a bet.

Why use the Kelly Unit size recommendations?

The Kelly unit size recommendations are calculated unit sizing based upon probability of the outcome based upon total bankroll entered by you. Look in our tutorial section for more information.

Why are Free Bets different from Arbitration Bets?

Freebets refer to bets placed with free play inhouse currency. The main difference between actual money staked and free bets is that the free bets do not return the amount of the free bet in the pay out. Due to this the calculations for free bets differs from arbs and is returned in a percent conversion of the freebet amount.

What does the Profit boost section do?

The Profit Boost tool allows you to type in the percentage of a boost you received from a sportsbook promo page. It takes the percent entered by you to search for the highest yield play to maximize your profit based upon available arbs / lowhold plays.

Do I need to understand each sportsbook's rules?

Understanding the rules, terms, and conditions of each sportsbook where you place bets is paramount to your success. We provide information and tools only.
